Went down to Lake Burley Griffin with Sam to try out some of the techniques "Charlie" suggested the other night ... And he was right.
Within about 10 mins Sam had a nice run, though lost it. I then got on to a carp about 50cm long, which broke my hook when I got it to the wall. Sam did the same about 15 mins later before bringing in our only landed fish for the night - A carp of about 40 cm.
Looking like it was about to storm (lightning over the Australian War Memorial) and without any further action, we decided to call it quits about 11:45.
