Notes
I came out today to see if the Largemouth were bitting at the dam. They have been bitting in the local ponds and small lakes so I figured that below the dam is kind of like a pond or a small lake so I should do pretty good. We got there around noon and started out slow . The Rapala X-Rap that I have been cathching bass on for the past week or so yeilded nothing. The water was really clear so I chose to down size my bait and I went wiyh a 1/8 oz. Chartruse mister twister actually I was trying to snatch a few crappie aswell. I saw a few bass and they would fallow the lure to the bottom and were very weiry. I caught 2 of them along with a couple of half way decsent Brim ( Bluegill ). No crappie showed themselfs today, still had a great time. Whip caught nothing but said he thought he had 2 pick ups on a 4" peanut butter and Jelly collored ruber worm with a slip ( Bullet ) weight texes style 1 o hook but was not quick enough to set hook. Could have been Bass or Bluegill or even rocks for all we know. I did try a medium diving crank bait ( White ) and foul hooked a shad in the gill plate, Opps...
