Notes
Much slower dry fly action. Fished with Rik. Remember that slow riser from under the boulder that lazily came up to suck my dry fly off the surface? Walking back there was a beauty of a run out in the middle of the river 100 yards upstream from the branch around the island. Tied on rubber legs and dropped a red copper john. 3 strikes in 10-12 casts; landing two large browns that both jumped and jumped and jumped. Dicey wading, but some of the most fun fishing of my life.
