Notes
MCB, TMM, BD:
I fished the LJ this morning from the refurbished 453 bridge at the top of the quarry road to the little twp. bridge close to Huntingdon Furnace. I haven't fished this section for about a year because of the bridge construction. The construction is almost finished, but there were still a few guys working on the bottom of the 453 bridge this morning. It looks to me that they will be finished completly in a week or so.
It was a nice morning, the LJ is summer time low and very clear. Easy to wade and still has enought water to run the spinner through. I caught 18 brown trout and 1 smallmouth bass. The trout were mostly 9-10-11 inch trout, two were around 12 inches, and two were mini-trout. The bass was a fairly nice 10 inch bass, which is a little bigger than a lot of the bass I catch on the upper sections of the LJ.
I didn't have to share this section with anyone else this morning. There was one guy from Virginia who was parked close to the twp. bridge, but he said he was going to check out another section since he saw me fish up to the bridge. Maybe I'll get out again on Wednesday or Thursday since I have a doctor appointment tomorrow morning.
