Notes

I had another trout on the YUM pink tube with tentacles, but it got away. It wasn't very big.

I tried a variety of lures, and the trout were interested in most of them, but when they got close, they wouldn't strike. They were especially prone to follow a fly that I jerked with a single split shot, as well as a little plastic frog, but again, they wouldn't strike.

I caught a reddish salamander, and I thought about using it as bait, but I didn't have the heart to hook it. However, after seeing it use its tail to swim when I put it into the water, I wished that I would have used it as bait after all.

The trout were entirely uninterested in the "bitsy minnow."
