Notes
When I started, the water was just a little stained. I waded down to where I fished yesterday and found a couple smaller fish rising sporadically. Using the single small nymph on the euro rod, my first fish to hand was a small brown. I found another fish that had moved up to the side of the riffle. After several casts to it, I hooked and then landed a beautiful 18" rainbow.
It started raining harder. I moved up to the next rocky riffle where a few fish were rising. I picked up a small fish on the nymph. It rained harder. I switched to a small CDC olive mayfly and after a handful of drifts, hooked and briefly played another decent rainbow. It continued to rain, so I took a 30 minute break in the car.
It was still raining when I returned, but I was tired of waiting. The water was now muddy. I switched to a squirmy wormy and surprisingly, caught a great 18" rainbow again within a few casts. I fished for awhile after that fish, but nothing.
