Notes

Shortly after we set up camp at the inlet, the sky grew pretty dark and the wind was surprisingly calm. It rained briefly. After it stopped, it stayed calm for awhile, and I saw a fish rise out in the inlet current. I decided to walk back to the car and grab my fishing stuff. It stayed relatively calm for a bit after I returned. I could see occasional fish just past the gravel bar at the drop off, but it took me awhile to catch anything. I finally caught a couple whitefish, then the wind picked up. And with the wind, the waves really picked up. I caught a nice rainbow after that, but it was really slow. Casting was tough, and my hang-and-bob was probably jerking around the flies pretty good underwater. I did try some streamers but never had any bites.
