Notes

Jason and I arrived at the new "rock garden" hole at around 6 pm. We got a little later start that we would have liked to due to some road construction. The wind was gusting sporadically but we did see several fish consistently rising. Jason allowed me to fish the prime spot in this hole and after putting a couple of fish down with poor casts, I was able to land probably the ugliest fish I have ever seen. A heron a poked a dime sized hole on its back just behind the head. About 2/3’s of the body was a sickly looking yellow color. The fish had a lot of fight so I am not sure if the yellowing is due to some kind of disease or illness. Jason indicated that he had caught the same fish on a previous trip.
