Notes
I fished upstream and downstream of the bridge a ways, but had my best luck closer to the bridge. The water tends to be pretty shallow in most places.
Unfortunately the wind was blowing pretty hard all afternoon/evening, so tight line nymphing was out. I fished a dropper under a dry most of the evening and the fish preferred the dropper almost exclusively.
Under the bridge, I pulled an Egan's bugger through it a few times and hooked up with a nicer fish but broke it off. I didn't have any more luck pulling streamers or nymphs through the deeper water under the bridge.
I had hoped on fishing the Malad instead since it has some great pocket water that would be fun to tight line nymph. But.... It was raging pretty good. The whitewater picture is from the bridge over the Malad.
