Notes

I hadn't looked at the weather for Twin Falls or Hagerman and was surprised when I a) hit Mountain Home and there was snow on the ground, and b) hit Glenns Ferry and it was snowing. Calvin stayed with the grandparents for the day and I planned on hitting Oster Lake #1 to catch some fish for my parents. Nope. For the first time ever, I think, I was the only one fishing there. It was super windy when I first arrived, then by the time I left, it was calm. I had a couple hits, but for the most part it was dead. I only saw a couple rises all day (unusual), and only saw a couple fish cruising all day (unusual).

After fishing #1, I walked back around #2 to have a look. I didn't see any fish rising, and was reaffirmed that #2 is nearly impossible to fish without a float tube.

Oster Lakes. Nice

I don't think I've ever fished there in the fall. Was the water clear?

Jason Hansen

Yeah the water looked good. Just didn't see hardly any fish cruising.
