Notes

This was my first fly fishing outing of the year. It was not to be serious. the objective is to experiment casting technique for the euro nymphing method. I fished in some relatively fast current and below rapids with no luck. I am certain that the leader was to short (app. 14") and the single nymph was to light. However, I did fish a riffle which was approximately 12" or so deep. I caught two trout, app. downstream of me. There was no mistaking the "take" for both fish.

For the next trip to the same area, I want to experiment with a 2' leader and two nymphs.

Note, I caught both fish on a gold beaded Frenchie that I recently tied! I used a 5X nylon tippet.
