Notes
Usual Winter/Spring trip - just gotta get out.
Tried multi-nymphs but should know better. Started seeing air jumps ~3pm as the water warmed and a good hatch started. They were jumping out to catch flying bugs. Tiny dries are the ticket, esp ~2-4 pm. Most action on #18 and #20 yellow EHC. Had a nice one on the grey extended tail mayfly (#22) but snapped off d/t old tippet.
Pretty day, clear water, low flow. Rain moved in just as I was leaving. Caught 5-6 (didn't include little ones) and lost/missed 4-5 more. Usual early Spring at the Malad.
