Notes
Poor trip. Not the fish, they're there and eager. The problem is access to the creek. There's a heavy brush with a lot of overhang. There's also a lot of downed trees in the creek. All this made for extremely difficult fishing. The last time here, the brush was much less and no downed trees.
I finally hit good water and (moderate) access at about the 5 mile mark. And even then, lost flies. Lost a total of ~6-8 flies in various places.
Did see a few HUGE bulls (18-22in) but couldn't get to them
Love Big Creek - not worth a day trip tho, esp 17 hr drive/hike/fish
