Notes

Decided to try fishing at high tide but it did not work out at all. The seas were very rough which made casting difficult. Currents were also very strong which meant my line just ended up being pushed back to shore. Barometric pressure was on the low side (1009mb) but still within the range for good fishing but that had very little effect. I only had 3 nibbles at my bait. Somehow I managed to hook a small Sand Whiting but it was under the legal limit so I unhooked and returned it to the water safely. Based on this experience fishing at high tide combined with the information contained in my previous logs it is becoming clear that the best time to be fishing is in and around low tide. Conditions over the next few days appear favorable for fishing at low tide so I'm looking forward to getting out there again really soon.
