Notes

MCB, TMM, & BD:

I thought I would sneak in one day of fishing before our big Syracuse-PSU bus trip. I fished the LJ from the 453 bridge to the little twp. bridge above it. They are repairing the 453 bridge and have a lot of stuff ripped up and distrubed around the bridge and the LJ. I parked up where I normally do and walked down to right below the bridge and fished from there to the little twp. bridge above it. The quarry road which has been closed for a couple of years now has the barriers pushed over and the bridge guys are using it for access. I suspect the beer and bait guys are also using the road again to access the creek. I saw a lot more bait containers and cans than I have seen for at least two or three years.

I didn't have a great morning, but I did catch 12 fish. I caught 10 brown trout all 10-12 inches in lenght, nothing very big and no mini-trout. I caught 2 small mouth bass that were almost mini-bass. I saw a 17 inch trout, but it was dead and lying along the stream bank, and smelled a little rank. I hate to see a big trout like that going to waste, but I guess the bugs and the birds were proabably feasting on it. Tomorrow morning, it's off to Syracuse, so, no more fishing until next week.
