Notes
MCB, TMM, & BD:
I fished the loop section of the LJ this morning for about three hours. I didn't catch a fish for the first 30 minutes and then when I got above that first RR bridge, I started to hit some trout. From 8:00 to 9:00, I caught 10 fish and thought I might have a big morning. I fished for another hour and a half until I was above the second RR bridge and in that time I only caught 4 more fish. So, I caught 14 brown trout, but they were nice trout. The smallest fish I caught this morning was at least 10 inches long and the biggest fish was a couple of 13 trout. It was a beautiful morning and it was great to be on the stream, which I more or less had to myself. I did run into an old guy and a young kid fly fishing, but they were above the second RR bridge and weren't any problem for me. The LJ was once again, low, slow, and crystal clear. The water temperature was 60 degrees, so the cool nights have been helping lower the water temperature. I suspect that if you fished late today, the water temperature would probably be up by at least four or five degrees. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning and we are having guests for the football weekend this week, so I may not get to fish until next week.
