Notes

The water was low but crystal clear. Still a long drive, but the scenery is amazing.
One of the best things about the Big Lost is the vivid coloring of the fish. The greens and reds on the rainbows are deep and bright.
The second best thing is the aggressiveness of the fish. They literally roar out of the water for the fly.
As an aside, though the fishing was great, I lost three (only had 5) of my hoppers to degraded tippet on BIG fish. Thought it was from poor knots until it broke tying a basic overhand. Then, the icing on the cake, snapped 8" off the tip of my Orvis Zero Gravity rod. Made for interesting casting in the wind. Gotta love Orvis - sending me a new one already.
Also, took Bailey and also Dixie, the new lab puppy - she loved the deep pools where the best fish are. At least she had fun!
