Notes

USGS 13185000 BOISE RIVER NR TWIN SPRINGS ID
Came off the North Fork. Fished the first hole upstream of confluence with the nymphs and had 3 good ones that came off.
Started hole-hopping upstream, concentrating on the deep holes being fed by turbulent water - higher oxygenation?
A lot of hoppers on the banks. Switched over to large orange-bottom hopper and starting getting hits. Ratio of hits vs catches ~ 4:1. Brought the big one in on that - rose up from the depths in a beautiful strike.
Got many hits afterwards at all the holes with either the orange hopper, stimulator. As the day wound up, tied on a large (#8) multi-legged hopper-type. They really keyed on that.
Advice - the more legs, the more strikes.
