Notes
Came back for a second day, season opened 3 days before. Started out with orange hopper with little luck. Switched to case caddis, got a couple and a big whitefish. Got strikes on float (orange) but no takers when switched over to hopper.
Had an enormous something(?) on the light tan wooley bugger but it popped my 4x line quickly. Saw a flash, it was BIG.
Got the big boy on the hopper in the deep slow water ~ 1/2 mile upstream. Saw a lot of surface strikes late in the day but no action on the hopper. Probably should have switched to Adams or EHC but headed home instead.
No takers on the flat where I got the big one's the day before.
