Notes

Hiked ~ 2.9 miles in, forded river once, 2 creeks, Not too bad a hike but access to the creek becomes more and more difficult the farther in you go. Lots of undergrowth making game trails to river hard to see.
Very sweet water once accessed. Water was crystal clear and shallow, surprisingly wide. Fished ~1/4 to 1/3 mile, very few deeper holes or runs. Did finally find one and took the larger fish. No Cutts.
The most difficult part was wading/maneuvering the creek. Had wading sandals (didn't want to hump waders up and down trail) and they worked great (esp fording the creek on the trail) but the rocks in the creek bed are big, slippery, loose, and sharp - not the embedded, round basketball & baby-heads I'm used to.
Another annoyance is the brookies - they're everywhere! Like the minnows in the Little Wood, they are constantly after the fly, making it difficult to get a good drift over a prime spot. I only listed 13 but I probably caught 20+ of the little bastards!
As an aside, I was cooking some burgers on the truck-bed and having a cold one when a t-storm blew over and sent me scampering for the cab cuz of a pelting of marble-sized hail! Never thought I'd check the "Sleet/Hail" box in August.
BTW - Temp at BVC - 59 at 7:00pm, was 89 at Boise at 10pm
