Notes
USGS 13120000 NF BIG LOST RIVER AT WILD HORSE NR CHILLY ID
So I decided not to list the flies tried cuz I literally tried every pattern type and size, both dry and nymph with absolutely zero results. Even beetles.
Had stopped by Silver Creek Outfitters for fly selection and they hooked me up.
Hit the NF, put in early and fished upstream about 1/4 mile, hitting all the holes and runs - ZERO. Never even saw or spooked a fish. Came up on beaver dam - maybe the prob? Was was low, easily wet waded and clear.
Came back later that day (~3:30pm) and traveled up higher, about 2-3 miles and put in . Same results - nada. Did see one fish rise and reject an EHC in a small, deep pool. Otherwise nothing.
After all that frustration, came off the river to a flat tire ...
