Notes

MCB, TMM, & BD:

I thought I would fish the section of the LJ were I caught all those nice big trout a couple of weeks ago. So I did! I should have stayed home! I fished for two hours and only caught 5 fish. Four brown trout and one smallmouth bass. I did catch one nice 16 inch brownie, so I guess it wasn't a total waste of time. I really didn't miss more than maybe two fish and I only saw one or two follows. If I was fishing this section for the first time, I would conclude that it's a piss poor section to fish, but of course I know that isn't true. I figure it was a combination of weather and water conditions. Bob and I both noticed that the fish weren't hitting very hard yesterday morning and this morning they seemed to not be interested in my spinner at all. A couple of fly-guys were just getting started when I quit and they said they thought the fish were pigging out on cacadas and weren't very hungry. Who knows?
I think I'm done fishing until after the holiday. Have a great fourth everyone!
