Notes
First-time fishing here. Easy hike, supposedly very popular for family hikes although reportedly mostly fishing above bridge. Small river, very scenic. Repeated runs, pools, and rock gardens - ideal fishing spots, ~8-10 ft wide, shallow.
Fished some ideal spots, ~1.8 miles from trailhead. Had three, couldn't bring any in. One small (6"), one med (8"), and one nicer fish (11"). All were taken on a small trailing Copper John. Saw one top swirl, changed to EHC and Adams but no hits.
The water was low/avg and very clear, however, really early in the season. Likely a great place in Summer/Fall.
Took the dogs, they did great.
