Notes
I was hoping to see more fish up in the shallows since the water had warmed up through the day. I ended up seeing about the same amount of fish as I do around lunch. I found some decent bass suspended about 1' below the surface, but my casts with the leech were always intercepted with bluegill that would nibble at the fly but couldn't eat it. Annoying. So I didn't catch any bass. I switched the fly up to a foam ant and started getting consistent hooksets on the bluegill.
I didn't see any carp this evening.
