Notes

Interestingly, I did not see the big school of small bass and bluegill like I did a few days ago. The weather is coming off a cold front, and the nights the past two nights have been cold, so it could be the fish aren't active yet today until the water warms up a bit.

I walked around most of the pond and initially only saw one bass. I made my way back around it and finally started seeing a few fish, including a couple carp. I finally landed a bluegill and shortly afterwards a bass.

As I was walking along the pond's edge back to my car, I saw the lips of a big carp sticking out from under a pad of weeds. I flipped my leech out 5' in front of him and slowly retrieve the fly towards him. I actually bumped his upper lip with the fly but that only scared him. Those fish are ridiculous. I will catch one yet...
