Notes

I fished the NE corner of the pond where I saw lots of carp cruising last night. With the dark sky, I couldn't see into the water very well. I finally did get a carp to hit the california leech, but I wasn't able to get a good hookset.

The rains came and forced me under a tree for probably 30 minutes. After awhile I said screw it and fished in the rain and got nice and soaked. I switched flies to the Stayner Ducktail and caught one bass and a bluegill on the east side of the lake. I had another bass mouth the fly but didn't get a hookset.

The rain came again and I headed home.

How big was the carp?

Jason

Probably 3 to 5 pounds. Nothing huge. There are some 10+ lb carp in there, though. I'll get one eventually.
