Notes

The second day of this trip went much better than the first, producing twenty trout in about half the time. The bite was consistent throughout the morning and early afternoon, and the fishing pressure had declined considerably. I was also able to catch trout throughout the length of the pool, including the faster water above and the shallow water below. The fish seemed to be targeting the waxworms, but would shut down after I had caught a few. That was when I would use the Berkley Trout Baits. The fish would only bite the Chunky Cheese blend though, and I think that was because it was similar enough to the wax worms, but different enough to trigger the bite again. I was only able to fish half a day before I had to head for home, but it was a good half day, and the trip doesn't seem so long after a good morning of fishing.
