Notes
Back at Stearns expecting to hit pickerel on the left side, but they stubbornly refused to show up.
Fished with a guy called John Brodeur and his daughter CJ who was netting the big bullfrog tadpoles that were milling around the beaver cage on the right hand side.
Late on we started using Rapalas after a pickerel hit one hard on CJ's Barbie rod and buried itself in the weeds. I was slammed twice on the right hand side and, amazingly, the fish avoided all three trebles. Topwater is fun and another weapon, especially at sunrise and sunset I imagine.
