Notes
Noted form the TFF in January
If the lake wasn't so low, I'd say slow-roll a spinnerbait around docks and grass in the backs of creeks... but you guys don't have alot of that up there right now.
You could also probably pick up a limit on structure around the dam throwing a rig, there's a few road beds and some house foundations out there. I've done decent doing that when the water was low in February. Crankbaits around bridge rip rap running across major creeks on the lower end can be good too. the fish will stage there before moving back there to spawn.
That year that it was real tough the water had come up and was muddy and 49 degrees. We fished a spinnerbait and jig in a single creek pretty much all day. The fish moved up and started eating once the temp hit about 52.
Those are the three patterns I would work. Good luck fellas!
fished sat and sun, and did quite well. had 9 fish sat and 11 on sun. had 18 to 20 pound stringers both days. was notified this morning have to work sat, so champs is out for me. so here goes. take it for what its worth. strikeking 6xd on the ridge on west side of dam. key on 12 foot range close to where the channel cuts thru.
