Notes
Because of Shark week on the discovery channel this week, I decided to go Mud shark fishing. I brought my pier rod and my spin/fly rod. Started using small white jig in the hopes of catching a Bullhead for bait. I switched to a rubber lure with a jig head in it called "Pony Tailz"
Looks alot like a small hoochie. On my second cast I got a 8" (?) Rock Cod. Was quit powerful for such a little guy. I was fishing on the right side of the pier, seems theres lots of snags on that side. Lost chartruse pony tailz then later after some guy named Danny gave me some Salmon parts for bait, ended up losing my shark rig with a 2.oz pyramid weight, then a bar rig and anouther 2 .oz weight. Some other guy was getting lots of bite on Squid.
Danny's shark weighed in at 3.9 Lbs.
