Notes
Love the Little Wood - a meandering, cold, clear stream winding thru the desert scrub. You'd never know it's there from the road.
Fished the Priest (?) Bridge - the usual spot. Sunny, warm, middle of nowhere - perfect.
The only drawback is there's alot of aggressive minnows eager to snap up your fly at every opportunity! Many a perfect drift to a honey spot were interrupted by these little bastards.
Caught most on a brown baetis - sorta like a small brown hackle - bought it at Idaho Anglers in Boise, never saw another one.
Must've picked a perfect day - caught fish in run, riffles, pools - everywhere.
Check upstream of the bridge to the slow water around the bend - look close, there are some submarines cruising along the banks. Of course in the most inaccessible places!
I'll get one of 'em one of these days ...
