Notes
I startled a moose on the trail. The moose bounded back uphill, I stopped & looked for a big tree to hide behind just in case Bullwinkle wanted to play hide and seek. In less than a minute a young bull walked across the path again toward the water. Until then I couldn't tell if it was a mom & calf, so I stayed put.
Fishing was GREAT! Hook ups immediately and the best fish of the year.
I was using a bounce rig on ~ a 13-14' leader & tippet, so landing the bigs were a bit of a problem - fortunately another angler helped me net my best fish.
