Notes
Fished with guide first day. Used balloon as indicator with a pink scud and baetis nymph combo. Broke off two nice fish(??). Trick was getting the weight right....if the weight was right and drift was good, usually got a fish. Had many more than I actually landed. Fast action.... All fish were over 16....nothing over 18inches. guide said the fish this year in the bighorn average 16-18, but there are not many over 20. This river has 6000-8000 fish per mile...hundreds and hundreds of fish in every hole. Crystal clear water...but the fish aren't spooky. The fish see so many boats and anglers everyday that they don't give a crap anymore. Most fish were caught 10-20feet from the boat.
