Notes
A half-hearted trip to try out a new fly I tied that evening – The It. Lots of dangly legs, bright wire, epoxy back, scud dubbing. One fish on it, that’s it, and one fish on the trailer – Stayner ducktail. There were fish swirling 30’+ out from shore and I had a hard time casting to them with a caddis and a spent-wing spinner. The rises were inconsistent with the wind. Then it rained on me.
