Notes

I initially tried a wind-drift retrieve with a pheasant tail and tan deep sparkle pupa on the east side of the pond and didn’t catch anything. I tried slow hand-twist retrieves with no luck. I caught the bass and trout on medium retrieves on the tan deep sparkle pupa. I moved to the north mid-way shore and fished the inlet and caught 1 trout and had another on. I moved east 15 yards as it was getting dark and caught one on a diving caddis trailer. I had 3-4 more hits on either the black California leech or a Rio Grande King but hooked none. Lost 4 or 5 flies to backcasts in trees.
