Notes
Water was clear, low. Unusual weather, still in high 80's, low 90's - Fall not really taken hold yet. Also, unusually dry - wet season hasn't come yet.
Despite all the fish reports saying BWO, Pinks, and PMD's are the hot flies right now - no luck in the canyon today with them.
However, much to my surprise, a ton of hoppers still on the banks. Got multiple hits and swirls, only one netted. Still big fish, a lot fewer but more aggressive strikes. (Gotta change the pattern - hook too recessed in body causing most of the misses).
Also, saw two other fishers, on a Monday no less!: two spin-casters, one FF pulling in as I left. First time I've seen anyone there in 2 yrs.
So much for the Secret Spot ....
