Notes

Got out for a mid afternoon trip on Kahlers with some live bait. Wind was whipping fairly steady down toward the spillway. Kayaked about halfway up the eastern shore and caught one 3 inch bass on a nightcrawler. Went all the way to the top and scouted out the water along the way. Seems like the place is fairly shallow with scattered weed cover. 6-8 ft seems to be the deepest it gets. Caught a nice little yellow perch on the top part of the lake along the western shoreline. Had numerous dink hits on the crawler in the middle of the lake by the camp, in the corner of the camp and along that shoreline. None of the fish felt like they had any size and I couldn't stick any of them. Didn't see the great white catfish, think it probably stays deep and then comes up shallow at night.
