Notes
Dropped in at the lower part of the Peconic River just off the last LIE exit. Wind was blowing hard down toward the spillway and the weeds were heavy. Saw a bunch of fish breaking off points on lilypad weedbeds but couldn't get any bites. Was fishing a watermelon and red flake 4' senko with a few nibbles but no takers. Worked it slow and sinking along weed edges. Paddled up to the next pond and switched to a clear and black flake 5' senko. Caught one fish in the middle of two weedbeds by working it on top. Then we floated back and anchored up off one of the weedbeds. I caught 1 nice fish by dragging it over a lilypad mess in one of the cutback corners to the left. Then caught 6 fish on the shoreline just before the choke point between the two ponds. Seems like fish stack up here and pick off anything that blows down from the other ponds.
