Notes
I arrived at the Visitor Center and walked upstream to the big wooden bridge. I sat on the bridge for 45 minutes, scaring several fish in the process including one well over 20”. There was no hatch and no rises thanks to the extreme wind. After awhile I tied on two nymphs and began walking upstream. I nymphed an area close to the bank where I could kneel behind a large clump of grass and caught a 12” rainbow on the hare’s ear. After catching the fish I stood up thinking no more fish would be in this small run and ended up scaring another 20”+ fish. I walked up stream and fished riffles and deeper areas and caught nothing. After awhile I headed back to the bridge and saw Karl and Bryce. I didn’t fish for much after that, instead just watching the water and waiting for something to change. The wind never stopped and nothing ever hatched.
