Notes

I found a secluded little spot along the creek and watched the water for awhile until I was able to spot a few fish. I then fished nymphs on a 1-2' dropper off of an EHC. It was nearly impossible to cast since the area was shrouded with trees and only had about 2' of open bank.

The highlight of this outing was spotting a nice brown - I'm guessing 16" - and getting him to take my white caddis pupa. Unfortunately I missed him. I will go back this week and see if I can spot him again.

Jason

That's pretty solid, catching 6 fish in an hour and a half. I'm impressed you were able to spot a few fish as well. Knowing there's a 16" brown there makes it much more interesting to fish.

Seeing that bigger brown has me excited to go work that area some more. I'm sure there are some decent browns in RoCr. I think Kafka once caught at 17"er and I remember seeing a kid in the newspaper with a 17" brown out of RoCr awhile back.

I'm psyched for the Big Wood this weekend.
