Notes
Launched from the little bridge after the JFK Causeway and made our way into the canals to hit the lights. Austin tried the Ultimate Multi-sport 12 for the first time and I have a feeling I won't be able to use it unless I don't take him with me. First lights had Skipjack and trout in them but not interested.
Moving further into the canals we found fish but very picky, took awhile to get them. We move in deeper and saw lots of crabs, and eating size shrimp in the lights.
Got tired and called it a night, started paddling to the truck and heard bait being slammed near me. Had the $75 lure (Won 2nd place Trout with this plug, hence the name since it won me $75 bucks) tied on and casted out and slow retrivied back in. mid-upper slot red nails it and takes me for a ride. Thought at first it was the trout of a lifetime due to location but was shown otherwise when it rammed my Ultimate 12.
All in all a productive enough night that we might just hit it tomorrow night.
