Notes

MCB, TMM, & BD:

Today was supposed to be one of the warmer days we can expect for at least another week or so, so I thought I would get in one last day of fishing for 2008. I fished the section of Spring below the Paradise and above the handicapped platform. I fished below and above that little foot bridge that is downstream from that yellow house that is right on the creek. I also found one of the Spring creek improvement projects. They have planted trees around the area near the footbridge and put about three or four of whatever you call those things that narrow the channel of the stream. It's nice to see that someone is trying to improve the fishing on Spring, but of course before the trees do much good I will probably be dead.

Spring was low, although not quite as low as it has been for the past two or three months, it was clear and slow. I only fished for about 2.5 hours, my feet were starting to get cold, so I quite. I only caught 5 trout that were all around 12 inches long, nothing big, nothing real small, but not many trout to be had. I had a fair number of follows and of course I missed a number, mainly because they were hitting the spinner very lightly. They were all brown trout.

I guess I won't hit 1,000 trout for 2008, because I think I have caught about 950 to date and this will probably be my last day on the streams for this year.
