Notes

MCB, TMM, & BD:

I fished Spring below the Paradise this morning for about three hours. I parked near the little foot bridge where they tore down that old house and made a little parking area. I was surprised that there were already two fly-guys fishing on both sides of the little bridge at 7:15 this morning. I didn't see where they parked their vehicle because it wasn't in the area I parked and I didn't see it around where I fished. I walked downstream to the first nice rapids above the handicapped platform and fished back to above the little bridge that goes back to a house on the other side of the stream from the road.

I had a good morning, or at least by my standards, it was a good morning. I caught 20 brown trout and most of them were nice trout. The smallest trout I caught this morning were a couple of 9 inch trout. The biggest was a really nice 15 inch brown and I also caught 3 or 4 browns that were in the 13-14 inch range. The rest of the trout were 11-12 inch trout. There wasn't a mini-trout in the bunch. I caught about three really nice trout around that little driveway bridge above the yellow house. There is a fairly deep hole there and the big boys were hanging in it this morning. The water temperature was 65 degrees, which I didn't think was too bad for this time of the year. I picked this section to fish this morning because it has a bit more water in it than some of the sections above the Paradise. I would have fished a little longer, but it started to pour down raining and I thought I would just get out of my gear and head for home.

Diane and I are probably heading for the Belleville market tomorrow morning to pick up some fresh produce, so I think I fish again on Thursday morning. I may just do a little bass fishing on Sonny's section of the Stone Thursday morning.
